Circular Wellness VBJ638 – your Rongoā Māori ACC provider
ACC will pay for Rongoā Māori under the social rehabilitation category, which is separate from treatment. This means that, where appropriate, Rongoā Māori services can be considered in addition to treatment or other rehabilitation, depending on your needs.
Here are the basic steps to take to receive Rongoā Māori services from us via ACC, followed by a more detailed version if you need:
Basic Steps:
Step 1. Get you claim no. for your injury. You can get this from your GP, Councillor or by calling ACC claims helpline: 0800 101 996.
Step 2. Request Rongoā Māori as a part of your rehabilitation by speaking with the ACC team member managing your claim.
Step 3. Provide our details as your preferred provider: Circular Wellness, vendor ID: VBJ638
Step 4. We will receive confirmation of your approved request from ACC and contact you confirming this. From here we may provide our services to you with only the surcharges that applies (bottom of page).
Step 5. Once confirmation is received, head to “Our Services” and select the Rongoā service you are after, then use our online booking system to select a date and time that suits you. During the booking process enter “ACC Client” in the “notes” section of your booking.

Once support for your injury is covered by ACC, you can request rongoā Māori as part of your rehabilitation. Request this through the ACC recovery team member who’s managing your claim, or contact ACC: 0800 101 996, Email claims@acc.co.nz
When you request access to rongoā Māori, they’ll ask you which practitioner you would like to see, then you can provide our details: Circular Wellness, Vendor ID: VBJ638.
They’ll talk to you about how your injury is affecting you and how you expect rongoā will help you to rehabilitate, as well as help you to decide the number of sessions you need, depending on your injury.
Once we receive a Purchase Order (PO) no. from ACC, we can book you in for your first session. Your ACC recovery team member will need to approve your request for traditional Rongoā Māori healing before you can start to receive care.
If you have your ACC approval/ purchase order no. already you can simply make a booking by selecting from “Our Services” and state that number in the “notes” section of your booking.
Through your recovery journey we will let ACC know how your rehabilitation is going and we’ll work with you to get what you need, including any applications to extend the number of sessions you may require.
At your first session you will be asked to read the following form ‘Circular Wellness Client Service Agreement: Romiromi/ Rongoā Māori Engagement’. Upon reading you will be asked to sign and date this form as acknowledgment that you have read and understood and agree to comply with this cancellation policy, this will be kept with your files.
Circular Wellness Rongoā Māori services, ACC surcharge:
Whitiwhiti Kōrero, or Full Rongoā, 60 minutes – $25
If this is your first session with us you will need to book a double session,
you will only need to pay one $25 surcharge.
Below is a Client Service Agreement – Romiromi /Rongoā Māori Engagement form which you will be asked to read, sign and date. Purpose of Agreement – You are engaging with Circular Wellness for the provision of Rongoā Māori healing services (specifically Romiromi) as part of your wellbeing and/or ACC rehabilitation plan. This agreement sets out what you can expect, your responsibilities and consent to proceed.
