Their goal is to help the client to be living their best life through building new habits that make for change that lasts. Whether you have a desire to implement some new healthy habits into your life, have significant health challenges to work through, are looking for more information and support on your path to optimal health, or just need support navigating the many obstacles that come up in daily living, a health coach can help.
Sometimes we need to talk it out, unpacking and working through what challenges are presented and possible options moving forward. Other times we may need assistance in finding motivation and know-how to follow something through to its end. What do we do when things get hard? How do we recover and get back on the horse so-to-speak?
A Health coach is your personal cheer-leader, they acknowledge you are the expert on you and thus only support you in what it is that YOU desire. Although the client remains in charge throughout the relationship, the health coach may challenge you to take an honest look at what’s really going on under the surface to aid you in breaking through any barriers holding you back. This is done in various ways many of which focus around powerful conversations and attentive listening and reflection for the client.
