Ashtanga Yoga; this method of Yoga involves synchronising movement and breath, through a progressive predefined series of postures performed while applying breath retention with physical and energetic locks. This builds internal heat to help clear the mind, detox the body & improve circulation in addition to building strength, stamina and improving flexibility.

What is Yoga?

Yoga History; date back to pre-Vedic South Asian traditions, roughly exactly developed  around the sixth and fifth centuries ‘Before Common Era’ (BCE), in ancient India’s ascetic circles. Yoga Sutra (threads) a text book on yoga as a psychological practice. Yoga is a way of being:

What is Ashtanga Yoga?

Ashtanga yoga is a style of yoga brought to the forefront by Krishnamacharya and his student Sri. K. Pattabhi Jois, who began his yoga studies in 1927 at the age of  12. By 1948 he had established the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute for teaching the specific yoga practice known as Ashtanga, Sanskrit meaning “eight-limbed”.
